Suicide figures are continuing to rise in the United Kingdom and in 2023 it was reported that 6069 people took their own life in England and Wales. Our missions at the Headlight Project is “To reduce the number of deaths by suicide in the Tees Valley through therapy of those bereaved by suicide and preventative education and training.” We work within businesses and workplaces within the Tees Valley to provide free preventative training and education.

We will come to your workplace or community group to deliver our suicide awareness presentation.

The aims of the presentation are to:

• introduce the charity and why we were founded
• raise awareness of suicide and the alarming numbers in our region
• provide information about the services offered by the Headlight Project
• introduce actions for creating a suicide safer community and workplace
• address myths and misconceptions that surround suicide
• work with individuals to encourage open conversations about suicide and also to empower people to spot the signs
• provide information about further training opportunities

We do not make a charge for this presentation. However, as a charity we would appreciate any donation to help us in our mission.
